Frequently asked questions

Can I apply without IELTS or TOEFL?

Yes. You can apply for conditional admission: the university issues an admission letter conditional on completing the English Language Academy. After finishing the top level you move straight into your degree with no further TOEFL or IELTS.

When is the Fall 2026 deadline?

The international undergraduate deadline for Fall 2026 is June 1, 2026; Spring 2027 is November 1, 2026; Summer 2027 is March 2, 2027. Graduate programs set their own deadlines.

What is the application fee?

A-State’s application fee is $50 for both undergraduate and graduate applications. Our admissions team charges no additional service fee.

Can I apply to several majors at once?

You choose one major on the application but can change it after enrolling. If undecided, use the Major Finder tool or enter as Undeclared at undergraduate level.

How long does an admission decision take?

With a complete file, undergraduate decisions usually arrive in 2–4 weeks. Graduate decisions depend on the department and typically take 4–8 weeks. The office tracks your file and keeps you updated.

Can parents join the advising session?

We encourage it. One-on-one sessions are held in person at the office or online, in Vietnamese, and we explain cost, safety and housing clearly so the whole family can decide together.
