Advisory tool
Do you qualify for A-State? Check in one minute
Enter your level, grade average and English score (if any). The tool compares them with the university’s 2026–27 requirements and tells you whether you are in line for full admission, conditional admission via the ELA, or need something more — plus scholarships you may qualify for.
A-State publishes its entry requirements clearly — but Vietnamese transcripts use a 10-point scale, English proficiency comes in several test formats, and each level has a different threshold. This tool does the conversion and comparison for you: enter your grades as they appear on your transcript, select the test you have (or have not) taken, and get an instant result against the university’s three admission categories. If you fall short, you also learn exactly by how much and which option (retesting, Duolingo, the ELA) is fastest.

Three possible results
Eligible for full admission
Both GPA and English meet the requirement. You can apply now for the nearest intake; a GPA of 3.25 or higher is automatically considered for the $3,000-per-year international scholarship.
Conditional admission (ELA)
GPA qualifies but English is below the minimum or not taken yet. The university issues conditional admission; you complete the ELA and move straight into your major without retesting.
Needs an advisor
GPA below the minimum or a special case (non-standard qualification, study gap). An advisor reviews your file carefully to find an option.

Frequently asked questions
My average is on a 10-point scale. How do I enter it?
Enter your 10-point average and select that scale; the tool converts approximately to 4.0. The official conversion is done by the university from your transcript — your advisor will confirm.
I have IELTS 5.5 overall but one band at 5.0.
A-State’s general requirement is the overall score of 5.5. Some programs may consider sub-scores; your advisor checks this for your program.
I have not graduated from high school yet. Can I check?
Yes. Enter your current average for grades 10–12. You can apply in the final semester of grade 12 and add the provisional graduation certificate later.
Does “eligible” mean I am guaranteed admission?
The result is based on published minimum requirements. The final decision is the university’s after reviewing your complete file; for applicants meeting the minimums, A-State’s admission rate is very high.
Can the tool check Nursing or Engineering?
The tool checks the university’s general requirements. Programs with separate selection (for example Nursing at the professional stage) have additional criteria — your advisor explains them when following up.
