Carlitta M. Moore Appointed Vice Chancellor for Institutional Access and Engagement

JONESBORO – Arkansas State University (A-State) Chancellor Dr. Todd Shields has appointed Dr. Carlitta M. Moore as vice chancellor for institutional access and engagement.

Moore said, "I look forward to working with Chancellor Shields, the leadership team and the community to advance A-State's mission, vision and values."

She continued, "My role will focus on shaping the campus community into one that is welcoming, supportive and conducive to learning and growth for all individuals."

She said the office will remain steadfastly committed to serving as an advocate for everyone while contributing to the success of the institution and its students.

"I am delighted that Carlitta has agreed to carry forward Dr. Lonnie Williams' important work as we cultivate a culture on campus where every Red Wolf feels a sense of belonging and has access to the resources they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond," Shields said.

"As we look to the future, this is an opportunity to maintain and nurture meaningful connections between the institution and its various stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, alumni and the broader community, through enhanced support networks, mentorship opportunities and collaborative initiatives that will benefit everyone," Moore added.

The reconfigured division of institutional access and engagement will be dedicated to enriching the educational experience for all stakeholders and preparing them to thrive in any environment.

During her time at A-State, Moore has held several positions, serving as clinical education coordinator and associate professor for the Master's program in Athletic Training.

She holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, a master's degree in health and human performance with a concentration in athletic training from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a doctorate in educational leadership with a concentration in higher education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Moore continued, "Embarking on this new journey to ensure all individuals have access to campus and an environment where they feel valued is an enriching experience that I am excited to lead."
