Chancellor Todd Shields Named a 2025 Influencer

Congratulations to Chancellor Todd Shields, who has been honored on the Arkansas Money & Politics 2025 Influencers of the Year list.

This list includes “those who inspire everyone to reach higher, achieve more, and improve things in their local community.”

Part of Chancellor Shields' nomination reads: “An academic administrator, nationally recognized scholar and unwavering advocate for students, staff and faculty, Todd Shields is honored as the fourth appointed chancellor and 14th individual to lead the flagship campus of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. He spent many years at the University of Arkansas, where he rose through the ranks to become dean of the largest academic unit at Fayetteville. Shields' extensive academic administrative experience spans from department chair to research centers, and from dean of individual colleges to divisions touching every corner of the university.”
