Top Journalism and Mass Communication Students Inducted into Kappa Tau Alpha

JONESBORO – 13 Arkansas State University (A-State) students were recently inducted into the Kappa Tau Alpha (KTA) honor society. The ceremony was held on April 7. KTA is the university's honor society, recognizing academic excellence and promoting scholarship in journalism and mass communication. Membership is a mark of distinction and high honor.
The students are Caton Marsh of Jonesboro; Alexandra L. Taylor of North Little Rock; Andy Mayberry of Hensley; Stephanie Bell of Stuttgart; Donnie Sewell of Benton; Emma Anderson of Gentry; Brooke Posey-Zamora of Portageville, Mo.; Devan M. Ray of Huntsville, Ala.; Amy Rebecca Coyle of Douglassville, Pa.; Kenzi Jackson of Marysville, Ohio; Cassandra Oshinnaiye of Beltsville, Md.; Rob Haswell of Milwaukee, Wis.; and Mariana Frias Fernandez of San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
Fernandez was honored as the top undergraduate scholar and Mayberry as the top graduate scholar for the class of 2025.
The seventh-oldest national honor society, Kappa Tau Alpha was founded at the University of Missouri in 1910 at the world's first school of journalism. The society has 95 chapters and has inducted approximately 75,000 students since its founding in 1910. Kappa Tau Alpha is a nonprofit organization (501-c-3) and a member of the Association of College Honor Societies, the nation's only certifying body for college and university honor societies.
