A-State currently offers three main scholarship categories for undergraduate students:

Merit-based

Merit-Based Scholarships

Undergraduate Level

Students must meet the following requirements:

  • Enroll full-time: at least 12 credit hours per semester
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.5/4.0 or higher
  • Scholarships are awarded annually and divided evenly across each semester

Graduate Level (For Reference)

  • Full-time enrollment of at least 9 credit hours per semester
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.75/4.0 or higher

Note: International students are not eligible for scholarships/financial aid during the Summer term. These scholarships cannot be combined with the special benefits for Vietnamese students mentioned above.

Achievement Scholarships (Athletics – Music – Arts)

Applicable Fields

  • Athletics – in compliance with NCAA Division I regulations
  • Music, vocal performance
  • Theatre and performing arts

Requirements

  • Submit a portfolio, video, or achievement certification
  • Participate in an audition/try-out as required by the department/program
  • May receive additional room and board support depending on the award level

Scholarships are awarded based on:

  • High school GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher, and
  • ACT or SAT score according to the table below:

Responsibilities of Scholarship Recipients
