Where can I find the list of required admission documents?
You can find a link to our document tool here. After you select the correct information in the drop-down menu, you will see the list of required documents.
Do I need to submit a WES/ECE evaluation?
No, the Admissions Office does not require or accept third-party transcript evaluations.
Do I have to submit proof of financial support before enrollment?
Yes, since proof of financial support is a required item by the U.S. Government to create immigration documents, A-State will collect financial statements during the admissions process. You will not be admitted to the university or issued any immigration documents until we receive a financial statement that meets the required guidelines.
How long will it take to receive an admissions decision?
ESL applicants: You will receive an admissions decision 1–2 days after we receive all valid documents.
Undergraduate applicants: You will receive an admissions decision 1–2 days after we receive all valid documents.
Graduate applicants: Departments are responsible for making admissions decisions for their degree programs. After we receive all valid documents and your application is processed, the application is sent to the department for an admissions decision. Since each department is different, it is difficult to predict how long each department will take to review the application and make an admissions decision. For example, some departments make admissions decisions through a committee, while others must assign an advisor before making an admissions decision. However, once the International Admissions office receives the department's decision, we can usually process the decision within 24–48 hours.
Can I get the application fee waived?
The application fee is not waived and must be paid to complete your application.
How do I submit my official GRE/GMAT, TOEFL, or IELTS scores?
A-State's institution code for receiving electronic test scores is 6011. You can enter this code when requesting your test scores be sent. You can also submit a scanned copy of your test scores by uploading it to the document uploader for admissions purposes only. Official GRE/GMAT and TOEFL scores will need to be submitted after enrollment.
We do not need official IELTS scores sent from the testing board since we verify these scores online before enrollment.
What is proof of financial support and how much must it show?
The school's proof of financial support will be in the form of a Bank Statement. This document must be submitted in English and issued by a bank or financial institution. The document must be less than one year old and show a cash account (such as a checking or savings account). The ending balance must be at least USD 25,000. We can accept multiple statements totaling up to USD 25,000. If you are being sponsored by someone, please also submit a sponsorship letter, also known as a Financial Statement Letter (affidavit of support). There is no specific form for this; it is simply a letter from the sponsor agreeing to pay your expenses.
Our Vietnam office will help you prepare this letter.
Are A-State's programs accredited?

Arkansas State University is accredited by the regional accrediting organization, the Higher Learning Commission, Chicago, IL.
Individual programs are accredited by specialized accrediting bodies for their respective programs, as noted here.
